Roses, no Dahlias

Roses love sunshine, so they grieve not for the Globe Willow.

The Matador

The Anenomes are reaching for the open sky.

Water hyacinths, lillies, and various other pond plants seem to be thriving in their new home.

But, we miss our Dahlia's. We didn't get them out of storage in time because of the delay in our yard work. We think it was fungus. Here is a link to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman original poem dedicated to her dying dahlias.

These are last years pictures. They were so pretty.

Beautiful flowers...vivid colors...THANK YOU for sharing !The only thing I grow well here are Tumblin' Tumbleweeds. I tried growing my favorite Oklahoma vegetation, but the high desert wasn't kind to it...something about water...
The ANONYMOUS post under "I'm a Believer" was Swampwitch. Don't know why...maybe because I clicked the wrong circle...
Word Verification is about to do me in... Give me a p...give me a d...give me a q...give be a b...It's the same letter as far as I'm concerned.

In reference to your Blog Title, I have two plaques in my house that relate:

1) Please don't remove the dust, it hold the furniture together.

2) You can touch the dust, but please don't write in it.

Oh, the dahlias...they're gorgeous. I'm crying.
So sorry to hear about your dahlias!

Your photos are spectacular! I can only look at photos and admire flowers at this point. Once we get the house built I will have flower beds, etc. So keep those photos coming. Oh, except for the green Shrek feet. Ewww! Still grossing me out! But it does help to think of Shrek. :)
