Hi Lily, Hi Lily, Hi Lo
A song of love is a sad song,
Hi-Lili, Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo
A song of love is a song of woe
Don't ask me how I know
A song of love is a sad song
For I have loved and it's so
I sit at the window and watch the rain, Hi-Lili, Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo
Tomorrow I'll probably love again, Hi-Lili, Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo.
(1953 From the musical LILI, sung by Leslie Caron. Later performed by Shelly Fabares in the sixties.)
These are the gorgeous tropical lilies blooming this week in our pond. Unfortunately, fall is pushing the thermometer down into the forties the next few nights. One morning very soon they will say goodbye.
Bye Lily, Bye Lily, Bye low........

Such beauty exists right under your feet; I know it comes with much TLC :).
WT: They all die... or rather would. Hubby takes the hardier ones-cuts them completely back and puts them on the bottom of the pond. The tropical ones died last year. This year we are taking the bulbs and storing them in sacks of sand in 50 degrees.
Swampy Maybe on our feet (:
otherbear we think they are beautiful creations
Robin we took soooo many pictures. these I just shot two days ago
nikki I'm hoping we have more snow this year. Last year was disappointing
It's rainy and cold here this morning. Fall is arriving..

I like fall..but i hate to see the flowers die and the leaves fall.. ah well.. happens every year! lol
Is it getting that cold already?
I am a person who opposes the death penalty, but scenarios like these are making me seriously reconsider my position on this issue.
(And I know that song...and I remember seeing the movie on TV growing up!)
