I think my mom and dad collect those - I always see tons of them when I go out to the farm to visit. That's so cool that they don't fly away from you!

I'm surprised they didn't try to get nectar from your boobs! :)

Your shirt accents this picture nicely. Maybe you and dad should put a little greenhouse/aviary back there. Then you could collect hummingbirds that came in to eat. Of course, you'd have a new collection every day because you'd have to let them go.

What a fabulous photo. I am just amazed at how those hummers are so still. That's so cool they don't fly away from you, to be able to get so close to them.

Lovely photo! Delightful ‘collectible’ idea. I love to watch hummingbird in my yard … though the only ‘feeders’ I have are ‘natural ones’ … citrus trees and flowers. I’m always amazed when the little things come to ‘bathe’ in the hose spray while I’m watering the front yard ;--)

here in the Sonoran desert, our favorite place "the desert museum" has a hummingbird garden humming with different breeds and varieties. It is quite an experience!

I think they are amazing. If you go to Canadian Crafter on my blog roll, and scroll down a few posts, she has some videos and photos of the hummingbirds just outside her house. They come in her house sometimes and ride her hand out. She has great closeups. Sorry I didn't think to tell you sooner.

I love hummingbirds. That is a great pic! :) I am going to have to try holding my feeder for the hummers. I can stand under my feeder and they still come to get their sweet treat.
