I'm surprised they didn't try to get nectar from your boobs! :)
Your shirt accents this picture nicely. Maybe you and dad should put a little greenhouse/aviary back there. Then you could collect hummingbirds that came in to eat. Of course, you'd have a new collection every day because you'd have to let them go.
Hummingbirds are my favorite bird next to bald eagles, but it takes so damn many of them to make a meal. Looks like you have a good start. When’s supper?
Wow, they are so beautiful. And your daughter's comment made me giggle. :D

What a fabulous photo. I am just amazed at how those hummers are so still. That's so cool they don't fly away from you, to be able to get so close to them.
Yeah, it does look like they are waiting for their meal!! :)
Lovely photo! Delightful ‘collectible’ idea. I love to watch hummingbird in my yard … though the only ‘feeders’ I have are ‘natural ones’ … citrus trees and flowers. I’m always amazed when the little things come to ‘bathe’ in the hose spray while I’m watering the front yard ;--)

Wow! They stayed there with your hands on the feeder?! You have some very calm hummingbirds there...
The hummingbirds are great. My sister-in-law collects them in the same way. I would like to collect the tiny birds, but I might confuse them with robins. (he,he)
Hummingbirds and baby owls in the same week. You are having more fun then us now. I like your kind of collection. I haven't had a hummer on my finder yet, but I did have a butterfly on my finger today.
I COMPLETELY forgot about signing up for Fun Monday. Darn it anyway and this one seems like it was fun! That picture is something else. Hummingbirds have to be the prettiest little birds in the world!
here in the Sonoran desert, our favorite place "the desert museum" has a hummingbird garden humming with different breeds and varieties. It is quite an experience!
Very Cool birds! Are they birds or insects, really?

Pamela, those little beauties are besotted w/ you :)
I think they are amazing. If you go to Canadian Crafter on my blog roll, and scroll down a few posts, she has some videos and photos of the hummingbirds just outside her house. They come in her house sometimes and ride her hand out. She has great closeups. Sorry I didn't think to tell you sooner.
I love hummingbirds. That is a great pic! :) I am going to have to try holding my feeder for the hummers. I can stand under my feeder and they still come to get their sweet treat.

BTW, the bark from most of our "gum trees" only has a smell when it's wet.
They're such beautiful creatures!

Thanks for playing Pam...and sorry for the late visit!
Our Happy Happenings
Chipmunks, rabbits and pandas.
The house would get a tad messy but who cares right?
