Fun Monday #13 James Lipton Questions

Ice Cream Mama is hosting today's Fun Monday.

She loves "the television show Inside the Actor’s Studio. The show has three parts. The first part consists of a one on one interview in front of a live audience (so much better than a dead one). The final part is a Q & A with audience members asking the questions."

The second part is her favorite ad is also this week's Fun Monday Challenge.

So - here are the questions she posed. And, my answers!

What is your favorite word?

“Grandma…” followed by any little sweet voice telling me something very important.

What is your least favorite word?

Goodbye

What turns you on (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)?

I don’t know. If I did, I could change many things in my life.

What turns you off?

Body Odor.

What is your favorite curse word?

Crap. It can be used as a noun, verb, adjective and adverb. It might even be a dangling participle.

What sound or noise do you love?

The haunting whistle of a train traveling up the valley. Especially in the middle of the night, while I am warm and snug under my comforter.

What sound or noise do you hate?

The incessant clicking of a ballpoint pen in a meeting by some nervous twit.

S.C.R.E.A.M…… Gimmme that pen!!!

What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?

Philanthropist. I guess that really is not a profession, but I’d still like to be one.

What profession would you not like to attempt?

Asparagus picker.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

“ I’m glad you didn’t say IF, Pamela.”

When I was younger, the long low train whistle frightened me. But then, as a kid, I was frightened of many things, Now, the train whistle is comforting, it reminds me that there are others in our world.

Philanthropist, what a great 'job' to have, wish I'd thought of that.

Everytime I read the word BO i have a little sniff, you've all got me paranoid!!!(It's ok I'm sweet smelling)!

but don't asparagus pickers get to have one of those special knifey things with a highly technical name i can't remember?

I should have added "mummy . . ." to my favourite sounds - that's a really good one

I love your answers Pamela 'grandma' that's one I love as well, and good bye is such a sad word when you are leaving family behind and won't see the for ages.
Dear pamela. I agree asparagus picking would be back breaking work, but someone once told me they had to be picked in the early morning dew and that made it sound so poetic to me...
I was totally unaware there was such a thing as an asparagus picker. But, I guess they get to the grocery store somehow. Hmmm, you learn something new everyday!

Yeah, I'm still in love with "Mama," and I hope I live long enough to hear, "Grandma" directed at me!

I, too, love train whistles. Somehow they're comforting to me.

(Hey, I'm Irish! My people built the railroads, n'est pas?!)

I'm catching up on my comments in one place.

First, I loved Big Girls Don't Cry!! One of the funniest posts I've read. Reminded me of my Granny W.

Second, I can't believe that momma killdeer already has chicks. My goodness....way early!

Third, I just read an article about picking asparagus. I think it was in Country Home or maybe Country Gardens...anyway, this family in Idaho made a day out of picking wild asparagus along a river bank. The article had some great recipes and beautiful pictures. I'll have to look it up again.

I love your answer to the last question. If you thought "if", you probably wouldn't be there.

Amen to the last one!

I can't stand the sound of alarm clocks, especially commercials that use them to get your attention. I will boycott any product that uses that because that sound drives me crazy!

By the way, you somehow disappeared off of Bloglines. I rely on them for my blog visiting and I've had a few problems with them lately. So, when I thought I'd visited all of my friends, I was leaving you out. So sorry!
