Autumnal Equinox

Welcome Fall.
A water lily feeling a bit blue.

A surprise guest that a sneaky neighbor left by the pond.

Dueling Pinks.

Zucchini, cobblestones and sod.

Summer is officially over.

Shhhhhh.... it isn't quite apparent at our house yet.

The Backyard turned out fabulously. So lucky to have flowers at this late date.

Walker... no frost...yet.
So, we still have zucchini on sept 22.

So many hours went into that. Mostly the hubby.
I did hours, too. but nothing compared to him.

Other than a half days paid help on the pond circulation system, and several hours of rockin it with some dear friends - it was his creation

I love the surprise gift - my mom and her neighbor do that to each other all the time!

And thank you for your thoughtful comment on my post today. I love the idea and am going to try to convince my extended family to engage in something like this.

my heck your garden is beautiful! Good thing you don't live here, it semi-snowed/hailed yesterday. Oh, and it's freezing!

I think Shauna asked me if my yard was as beautiful as yours. And I can say, ABSOLUTELY NOT - not even close.

Of course - if you had to pay my waterbill, your grass would be brown too.

I wanna come over and play and eat zucchini.

Love all your photos. If the frog goes missing, you might check in TN;)

I LOVE your garden/yard. Just beautiful.

I want to thank you so much for your prayers, thoughts, and kind words of encouragement. I appreciate how quickly other bloggers really lift up one another in times of need. It's just so amazing to me.

Wow, your yard looks better with every picture you post!! What an accomplishment. I've always wanted to do that but something in my make up is missing. I just can't evision the end product so I can't start.

Will it be covered in snow?

What a beautiful backyard. Mine has a long way to go, but we have started. My husband just installed a small pond in our backyard this last summer. We love it. He also redesigned our backyard. Before it was just plain ugly, lol. Your surprise guest is really cute.

Just saw your comment on C's blog about the BA meeting. I'll be there. My name is Swampwitch, and I'm a globaholic. And one of my questions will be, "Why do all my word verifications always have b's, d's, q's, and p's in them?"

You have a beautiful garden!

I was out in mine today planting some coreopsis, some rudbeckia, and salvia. I think Autumn is a lovely time to garden. It's sunny but cool and fresh-feeling.
