That is amazing...nothing like the bond of a sister. I cherish mine.

that is a WONDERFUL group of pictures! My brothers and I get together and manage a group shot about once every 10 years. Kind of sad that it takes us that long to be in the same place at the same time!

Wow what a journey! :) - the closest longest friend I've had is my own sister. I hope it stays that way.

Oh my goodness, Pam, these are the funnest pictures.

Is that the youngest sister who in half the early pictures looks chronically displeased? Glad to see she cheered up in the later pictures. ;)

Makes me cry, every time. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge of our family history. The pictures are amazing. The stories are even better. Fern is such a special woman.

What a marvelous set of photographs!

I love the parade of fashion - the "page girl" look in picture one to the green and yellow daisy dress in 1971..

...and its living proof that the world was black and white until sometime in the 30's or so when the first color arrived... and then to keep their memories, people used black and white film... until giving in to color for good in the 60's.

OMG! I was having goosebumps looking through the pics...how wonderful! Certainly pictures paint a thousand words...and this one paints wonderful words and memories of friendships!

Thanks for playing!

Amazing is the first picture, it looks as if the hairdresser had put a pot on their heads and just cut around. The picture above the last one looks as if taken at my aunt's in Madison, the same wooden pannel and the same sofa and her friends looked also the same. Aunt Fern was very lucky to have her sisters as friends. I know a lot of women who don't talk to their sister(s) anymore, that's rather sad. I am an only child, so I can choose my friends that's also an advantage.

Love the pantsuit era.

The best thing about these photos is seeing the change in fashions. I snorted out loud at the photo depicting the quilted jacket era. :)

Hats off to these ladies for taking the time to document these times together. What a special memory for their families. I love looking at the differences in the hair styles and dress styles.
My favorite is the last one. Those wrinkled little hands...
