Summerfall?

The predicted high today is 78 degrees (26 C). What happened to fall?

The beautiful ornamental cherry trees greet me on my way to work this morning.

That is a beautiful picture...frame worthy! I love the blends of colors.
We had a rare Indian summer day yesterday...it was beautiful, and just when we thought there would be no more warm days until Spring! But it sure wasn't 78! That's amazing!

And yes, I've wondered the same thing you posed in reply to me...what would our ancestors think to know their lives were presented to the world? It depends on who they were, of course, but I think some of them would have been downright flattered to be "famous" for a day. Kind of like being in the newspaper! :)

Temperatures have suddenly plummeted here but we still have sunshine despite a keen wind. Good for drying the washing though. That's a lovely picture all the leaves blowing into my yard are a dull brown!

Isn't it just like nature to prove that red and green are complimentary colors. Just beautiful.

And your picture is just like a fall morning should be...crisp and clear. Nice job!

We have had quite a bit of warm weather, but today's temperature was cooler. I like your fall leaves on the walk picture.

Beautiful picture dear Pamela.
Ours just arrived today. Cloudy, rainy and very cool. Got out the long sleeved T and the jeans jacket to go out and was a happy camper! It should be sweater weather by the weekend!

I hope yours flies in soon...it never stays long enough does it?

Hugs,
Sue

Same thing here. All the leaves say fall but the thermostat says summer.

pretty photo.
Global warming?
Although, that temperature in Autumn wouldn't be completely unexpected here.

I think fall went East. Our leaves are mostly raked, swept and hauled across the road now.

Love those pretty red ones, though!

Wow! It did get up to 60 here... but it may be down to 29 Saturday. We may get our first frost. Enjoy this nice weather while you can!

those leaves look like candy. I'm not sure why they do, maybe it's the fluffy color. Either that or rose petals. Very nice.

And it was freezing here in Oklahoma. The weather is just all wrong this year. Global warming is definitely NOT in effect for us.

I think we are going straight from summer to winter... such a shame.

On Tuesday we had a nasty wind and rain(of course) storm and lost power. The warmer weather there would have been nicer! I called my dad the next day to tell him about the storm and he was teasing me about the 70 degree weather in Oregon.
