Where does time go?

Forty years ago I graduated from high school. I didn't go to my reunion (long story), which was 5 hours away on the west side.

Two of my high school friends now live here in the valley - minutes away from me, and one lives several hours to the west in a small town on the Oregon side of the Columbia River.

The four of us got together and looked at Diane's photos from the reunion that Kari, Polly, and I failed to attend.

We ate Mexican food, laughed, reminisced, and wondered out loud "why" we didn't do this every month.

Kari, Diane, Polly

Love you guys!

(But why didn't you tell me my hair was such a mess?)

Who cares about hair when you're in the company of such wonderful friends? Glad you had a good time.

Speaking of Mexican Food ... I just discovered rolled tacos and they are the BOMB!!! Oh my GOSH they are good. They are tacquitos, apparently, but bigger and really really crispy. Then you smother them with guacamole and sour cream and they are ooooooh so good. SO dang good.

You are a woman after my own heart.

Hey ... I need to look and see if you have a playlist.

And I thought you looked terrific in your photo. I wish you'd post more photos of you on your blog.

How wonderful ! I don't have schoolfriends anymore. When I left Germany with my parents I was too young and then I went to the German school in Brussels and there all students are now scattered all over the world. The parents were mostly diplomates, so we had always new students. Must be so funny to meet after years !

How wonderful that you are all still in touch. I recently recontacted with an old school friend I have not seen in 20 years, I feel like we were never apart.

It looks like a wonderful time. I am friends with a couple of people from high school and my kids and my French teacher's kids are in drum together. I tell her she is the reason I home school. She says I am the reason she home schools ;-) . It is so interesting to see people so many years later.
