A Little Vacation

I will be out of blog touch for the rest of the week.

Our Star Magnolia has blossomed and from
the distance appears as a bride in her
pure white gown.

However, just like everything in our life,
nothing is as it seems.

Take a closer look. Click on the flowers to your
right and see all the colors that nature
combined in a little white flower
to please the senses.

Pink? Yellow? Green?
Do you see shades of mauve and
lavender?

Have a good week everyone,
and.... give yourself a gift.
Take a moment to enjoy the beauty
in the world around you.

Mother Nature is never as simple as a white flower. She is much more beautiful than that.

Enjoy your trip and hurry back safely.

Dang, Pamela, I left a LENGTHY comment here, and I thought of something to come back and say, and it's GONE????! Shoot :(. Okay...lemme try to re-create.

First, hope you're having a FANTABULOUS time with Amanda (and Karmyn?). I read y'all's comment on the "Sparrow Guts" post wrong at first, lol. I thought you were HAVING a contest to see whose pee smelled bad first, not that y'all "check" to see whose is worst first when you eat asparagus...!

This post made me a bit homesick for S.C. We had a beautiful Star Magnolia in our front yard, and this reminded me of that. The lady who had owned our home for years prior to selling it to us was a master gardener. The first year we lived there, it was a delightful surprise every time one of her perennials would erupt. We always referred to it as "Henrietta's yard"...it was never completely ours ;).

Oh, yeah...

Purpleworm's comment. Gee...guess she doesn't know I'm a long-time reader of yours (but more likely could care less). Why, I think I'll go over and introduce myself :).

(If this ends up being a duplicate comment, please delete the other :) ).

Oh, neat. It's those subtle touches in everything that can make all the difference. Gotta appreciate all the little things (but don't sweat the small stuff :-D).

It's so ironic you posted this. Amanda and I just took a walk along a trail near us and it was so beautiful to be out among nature! And, I saw this beautiful tree with blooms just like the ones in the picture and wondered what it was. Now I know! :)

Beautiful flower! You are so observant. I would love to take a nature walk with you. I tend to see things like this as well, McD just keeps on truckin'.
