No Room in The Inn

Allow me to introduce Little Girl. She belongs to our daughter Amanda, who, along with all the others who lived in their apartment complex, received eviction notices for Christmas. You can read about it here.

She and her family raced the clock to find an available apartment - and moved in just five days before Christmas.

But - NO ROOM IN THE INN for pets at the new apartment. Strictly forbidden by the management.

So, she adopted her two cats out; Baby went to Karmyn's house, and Little Girl arrived here late last night.

Amanda hopes the cat move is temporary and that she will be able to reclaim her family sometime in the future.

Meanwhile, Little Girl has only wandered out of her hiding place to use the cat box and Meow very loudly. I'm going to move Little Girl into my bedroom tonight and lock The Contessa in the family room.

Our Contessa is spittin' and fluff-tailed over the new arrival.

I am so thankful you guys took her. I was so worried about her. You know how it is when your animals are like part of the family! Thanks again, mom & dad!!

I'm not surprised she's hiding. She'll be freaked for a couple days, but she'll warm up to you eventually. She likes soft things on a warm lap to knead.

Give Tessy some extra love for me. Tell her thank you for sharing her space.

I'm so annoyed about this whole sorry situation!

It takes about 3 weeks for things to calm down when two adults are involved.

That is really disgusting ! not only she had to move out before Christmas and now pets are not allowed ! I can't understand these landlords, but they are all the same over here too ! Fortunately you could help out with at least one and the other has found a nice home too, temporarily I hope. Your higness the Contessa will get used to the little girl, lol ! Cats are terrible actors they hiss, grumble and snarl as if they would kill the newcomer ! I had this here too when I took over my son's two cats for 3 months and now they are here since 4 years, lol ! He had to move from London into an Appartment in Amsterdam and the cats were so unhappy they were used to go out.
Now, they have found their "forever home" with me. Wish all the best for your daughter to find a nice appartment where she can take back her cats !!

I hope they get used to each other soon. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes if the Contessa realises Little Girl has spent the night in your bedroom!!

So sad they got evicted right before Christmas like this! But so glad everyone has a home to go to...

I came over to wish you a very Merry Christmas, dear Pamela. God bless you and your family in the New Year!

Bless her heart, I know what it's like to find out you have to move and have no choice in the matter. it happened to us this past spring/summer.

In a few weeks, I bet those kitties are doing just fine. I do feel for her, hiding like that. Poor thing.

And you probably thought you were done with fighting children under your roof, LOL.

Hopefully the two "girls" become friendly with each other soon. I'm glad you could provide a home for her!

Evictions at any time are difficult, but at Christmas they're heartwrenching, I'm sure.
Hope Contessa and Little Girl become fast friends.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I am sorry to hear about the forced move, but I am glad that you and Karmyn were able to take in the kitties.

Merry Christmas to you and all of your loved ones.

How nice for Little Girl that you were there to take her! Nice for Amanda, too. I know it sucks now, but someday this will be one of those "remember the year...?" stories.

Merry Merry Christmas to your entire family!

Merry Christmas to you and yours. I thought of you while I was posting on my site last night. We are of the age that we can appreciate her humor. It has to be a cut and past type deal, but it is worth it. Don’t forget to give Santa some TLC, too.

Poor Little Girl -

I let Baby out of the sunroom last night and she had the run of the house. She was not afraid and when I got up at 2am to use the restroom - I found both Skunky and Baby sleeping in Sela's room. (of course - Skunk was on the bed and Baby on the toychest).

Aww...what a sweetie. Contessa may eventually learn to deal, but I bet your place is big enough for them to each have their own space!!
Happy Holidays!!
