The First of The Month–Watch Them Grow

Another month has rolled around and an opportunity to post a new photo for the First of the Month.   This photo meme is hosted by Jan @ Murrieta 365.

The  goal is to capture one thing repeatedly on the first of each month.    It can be a landscape, a person, an animal, a project; whatever your  focus is, is fine.  It can even be a record of where you are each First  of the Month.

My theme is my three grandchildren, Zbub, Mizelle, and Dinkum.  It is called:

Watch them grow!

A couple of notes about this photo.  Dinkum decided he was going to be in a bad Moo'd.  That is a 3 1/2 year old's perogative, I guess.

The photo was taken at a dairy farm that milks thousands of cows.    Z-Bub, the 5  1/2 year old was a bit shocked.  Maybe he hadn't realized how the milk actually gets into the carton at the store.   He said, "Grandma, I'm never going to drink milk again!"   His resolution only lasted until dinner, whereupon he asked for a glass of chocolate milk.

Very cute. Perhaps he's not sure chocolate milk comes from cows, too.

They are growing and cute as ever. Dairy farms are such a fun place to take the kids.
That one cow looks very interested in what the kids are doing. Your grands are as cute as can be, this series is fun to see every month:)
what a great idea for the first of the month posts. You will have a wonderful collection!

Your little one being in a bad moo'd is utterly punny. :)

I like thos cows sticking their heads through the fence/gating to see what the cute little grands were up to...

Mizelle (I hope they don't tease her and call her Measles!) has a smile that ... makes dealing with the pouty one all worthwhile!

I wonder what Z-Bub would think of eating lobsters and crabs? Heck, even I wonder what the first guy that ate one - was thinking!

This is a cute idea with your grandchildren. I love the cows.
Cute!!! I'm with A-Bub all the way. It would take more than a trip to the dairy to make me give up my Ovaltine!!!

The grannies are totally precious sweetie!

God bless ya and have a terrific weekend!!! :o)

Oh, don't you wish you could still wear pink stripes roundways? Or, maybe you can? :-) As for the little plopper, sometimes you just have to take a stand--or a sit in his case. They'll remember this day. And how smart of you to archive the previous photos. I've been thinking about that but not smart enought to figure it out. Had trouble even with Mr. Linky this a.m. Need a tech geek!

so cute...
we have a cute little dairy farm close by... made to show kids the whole thing. Clean and shinny and fun. I liked it a lot myself. I coulnd not believe how much milk came from one cow...2 or 3 (I can't remember which) times a day. Then this summer we went to a huge one... we were all stinkin hot and the dirt and muck really got to me...not to mention the tiny baby calf they threw to the side. I felt like your Grandson... no milk for me. I caved too.

Hi Pamela ~~ I am so glad you enjoyed reading my last post and the
list at the beginning. Kids are funny - they have no idea where milk comes from or eggs, chicken or even
vegetables. I grew some beans and my grand-daughter wouldn't try a young
lovely bean and she was an adult.
Your grand-kids are lovely.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.

Cute! Love that the 5 year-old decided to give up milk and then reversed his decision. :)

This is my first time linking up to the First of the Month meme even though I have taken a photo each mth. Mine is of the same spot but I love the diversity of yours. How fun to see the changes each month with your grandchildren!
They are so cute! What a great idea to take a picture each month. Really like your blog. So glad that I found it!

Grandsons are a great idea for First-of-month post. But then their growth is reflected in so many different ways that their development could be posted in a first-day-of-a-week or even a first-thing-in-a-day meme, if someone were to think of hosting one. Speaking of grandsons on a daily basis I used to run a blog during a few months my wife and I spent with them a couple of years back. http://gvk-purelypersonal.blogspot.com/

That's a pretty typical face for that little guy, it seems. But at least Miz is happy as a clam. Or COW!
