Apparitions in my Garden
Karmyn is the host of Fun Monday this week with a subject that is near and dear to her heart. Not to mention her knees and fingers. But I mentioned them anyway. The subject? --- What's Growing In Your Garden. As soon as I signed up I grabbed my camera and headed out the back door. Alyssum, lady's mantle, gaillardia, Jupiter beard, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember is blooming in this photo. We didn't put as many annuals in this year so I miss all the yellows and reds that we often enjoy. But, something else showed up in that surprised me. Can it be that my yard is haunted? We had a screech owl baby for awhile. I think it was hurt and my brother was nursing it back to health. We feed it meat...and it did make a crazy screech (o:

Then I saw that it was an owl ! they have such funny faces and eyes like my cat Rosie ! You are so lucky to see them life !

I miss the pair of grt horned owls that lived near me in CA. I didn't see them much, but I heard them nearly every morning sometime between 3 and 4 AM. Lovely.

I've not seen an owl upclose and personal yet. I do see them flying away sometimes at twilight - off to find a dinner mouse I guess.
