Not Esther Williams....

Last Saturday morning a fruit fly did a swan dive into my cooked oatmeal with raisins.

I was able to scoop him out immediately.

Later, while chewing, I started worrying that it might have been a synchronized swimming event.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. My Dad would have told you not to worry, it's just extra protein. He was helpful, like that.
That is what I was thinking too..extra protein! :)

which is why I don't like raisins in my oatmeal. It's too hard to tell them from the flies (fruit and other)!

I can see why you picked him/her out... I mean... a fruit fly... you need a bigger fly than that to get some crunch.

Yes, are you sure they were all raisens?

It's not the first odd thing you have ever eaten... If I recall there was a nectarine sticker once upon a time? I still think fondly of you when I remove the stickers from my kid's apples LOL!

i'm just wondering how can you tell the difference between a swan dive and a regular dive of a fruit fly??

Hi Pamela ~~ What a horrible thing to happen and your synchronized swimmer made it worse for you. There must be an easier way to get extra protein my friend.
Thanks for your comment. I think everyone loved Red Skelton from what I read. Take care, Love, Merle.
