October's Fuchsia

Here it is, the end of October and the Fuchsia on my patio continues to provide some color and some distraction from the other things of the world.  Will it be tonight that the frost nips it away?

There is a beautiful dogwood tree several blocks away that has various colors of green, yellow and red.  Will I'll remember to take my camera next time I drive past?

We're having some cool rainy fall days.  I noticed that leaves on the driveway left behind their shape in silhouette after I swept them into the dust bin.  I wonder how long the stain will remain?

Tomorrow is Halloween and the only decorating on my porch has been done by the hungry spiders.  Oh! And the birds have done a little splattering, too.  I wonder how many little creatures will grace our doorway tomorrow night?

Trick or treat?

(I am hoping for treat, how about you?)

Wow, your fuschia is still thriving! I just moved my ferns indoor to avoid the frost. We had our first frost last night.

I am hoping for many treats too!

We had many big kids come to our door - we made them do a trick for their treat, lol. Good times. :0) Nice of the spiders to help out.

Your fuschias are so pretty. My poor garden is so confused by the weather...I have strawberry blossoms right now!

I hope you had a wonderful Halloween!

Pretty.

The bright red flowers on our hibiscus plant open extra large now in fall. They open only for one day. New flowers each day.

I'm still alive, but my fuchsia isn't. I like fuchsias so much that they were the platform flowers at my wedding, sitting on little white pedestals of different sizes.

I know I haven't looked at your blog for a long time. Hope you'll forgive me. I'm trying to keep up with my kids now days.

I hope you got a BIG treat!!

:)

p.s., sorry I'm so late commenting - I was looking for birdies in the swamps in North Carolina. Didn't see very many though... and missed the one and only shot I had of a magnificent Bald Eagle.

Funny thing... on the way home, I drove through Kitts Hummock.

I love this flower and wish it would grow in the desert...but it won't. I tried.
