Mario spends the day with Grandma

Curlymop came to visit us last weekend with her mommy and daddy.

After they arrived home, Curlymop could not find her best loved doll - Mario. She was sad and asked her mommy about it with tears on her cheeks.

In the meantime, Grandma (me) saw Mario's feet sticking out from beneath the bed and pulled him to safety.

Then, I started doing what I enjoy doing so much. Playing with my camera.

The rest of the day, Mario and my camera tagged along.

Curlymop was a giggle box when she began receiving Emails throughout the day with the photos attached.

I've recapped Mario's day in a little slide show.

It sure is fun being a grandmother sometimes.

Omigoodness that was too cute. Reminds me of a time many years ago...a friend of the family was a teacher for the city school district. Early one spring, a gnome that he had in his garden disappeared. Shortly afterwards, pictures started arriving in the mail of the gnome in all sorts of places (he actually travelled to the Grand Canyon and was seen on a donkey!!). The gnome was gone all that following year, travelling. He showed up at Christmas on the door step with the last of the pictures and some presents for the teacher. Our friend never did find out who took the gnome but he suspected that a few kids were in on it. The next summer...the gnome travelled again....we suspect it was a different group of kids that time. In fact, that gnome travelled several years in a row....

Both my kids want to know when Mario is going back to CurlyMop.

We loved the "it's me, Mario" section.

Jammin' giggled through the whole thing.

Very cute!! Reminds me of a monkey that my daughter and her best friend share. Joe gets mailed all over the country and has been photographed in several countries as they take him with them on their journeys. They say he is always a hit.
that is adorable. mario looks like he enjoyed his day with you.
