Fun Monday - Another Favorite Walk

AOJ at The Lurchers hosts today's Fun Monday, asking, " take me on your favourite walk. In words or pictures. Or both of course! Tell me why it's your favourite and point out things of interest on the way."

I'm taking you on an easy stroll around my back yard. I found that walking with my digital camera was a little wobbly. So I tried to let the camera do most of the work. Unscripted, raw, and wiggly - here's my favorite morning walk:

A Walk in the back Yard from pamela on Vimeo.

Now, grab your canteen and your comfortable shoes or boots! Head on over to The Lurchers and get ready to do some serious walking!

Well, THAT yard looks familiar! Although it has changed a lot since I was a tot running around back there. All of the hard work you and Dad put into that yard has paid off. It's beautiful! So relaxing. I'm looking forward to coming and sitting next to that pond this summer.
Pamela, that was absolutely brilliant! What a fantastic garden you have, it must be a real delight.

I have pink Bleeding Hearts in my garden, I hadn't realised they spread so much!

I enjoyed my stroll around your lovely back yard, Pamela. I'd love to put a water feature/pond in our back yard.

Thanks!

Having seen lots of pictures of your back garden (oops yard)in the past, this was a wonderful video tour to see it all together. The birds were singing loud and clear and it must be wonderful to just sit and relax by the water with the mountains in the background. Simply beautiful and a lovely commentary.

You have a beautiful voice. LOVE your back yard. I can't put my FM up yet because it's raining. Hopefully it will be pretty early in the morning and I'll take some pics.
I have been working on a book. (of my life) When I get a little further I sure will let you proof read. I may write a little more of my Di Di next week. Thanks!

Lovely yard, and the birds came though loud and clear. You have put a lot of labor and love in to your own little garden. You do have a lovely clear voice. If I tried that you would get a um um um's.

Loved it! Can you come and read to me at bedtime? Your voice is so soothing.

What a beautiful yard. I love the water feature (I would like to put one in my courtyard, but fear the dogs would...well, never mind. Your yard looks HUGE and there are so many birds!

It is so neat to hear your voice. I love your back yard. It is so serene with all the birds chirping, okay, serene might not be the right word, lets go for natural. I didn't know you like birds. Juussst kidding. That is a lovely fountain and pond. We have a pond and fountain also, but not as manicured. Thanks for the wonderful walk.

Loved seeing your yard, Pamela! And either I've heard your voice on your blog before...or for some reason, it was exactly how I imagined it! :)

Hope your feeling better...your slogan below makes me wonder if you were in a lot of pain this past week! I hope things are better!
God bless!

The birds were singing the ENTIRE time!! Too bad more of them weren't out there eating while you were filming. They were probably all scolding you from the trees.

You guys jumped ahead of us spring-wise. My bleeding heart is BARELY blooming. We've just been too cold.

Your garden is gorgeous ! I invite myself for my next holidays, lol ! I was so surprised to hear your voice so soft and sweet, I imagined a louder voice with your profile head ! I also understand your accent very well which is sometimes not the case especially when it is a southern accent !

I didn't participate in this Fun Monday but I'm so glad I came to visit. You have such a beautiful voice Pamela! Your yard is stunning and with the birds chirping and hearing the water in the background, it couldn't have been a more perfect video. Thanks so much for sharing!

I thought about doing this too, since I also do a lot of yard work and do a lot of walking while doing the weeding and such....what a beautiful area!!! I'm glad you did this. I had a wonderful time. Now 'bout that iced tea for us...I'll take one with lemon. And sit down on the grass and just enjoy your company.

My Fun Monday is walking along the beaches, with a few pictures of the views. Drop by if you can.

Beautiful yard! I love that you can see the mountains, too.

We went back to the mall last week and the goose was gone. I'll have to call the store and see if anyone can tell me if she hatched any eggs.

Your yard always amazes me. Do you have any plans to plant anything new this year?

Great video, Pamela, and an even better presentation. No ‘uhs’ and ‘ahs’ most of us use when making an unplanned presentation. Have you had public speaking training, or are you just a natural at speaking clearly and fluently?

Oh, yeah. Your voice is sexy, too.

Wow- what a spectacular back yard. I need you to come to my house and help me with my back yard- we're in the process of redoing it. Yours is amazing!!

you have such pretty 'stuff' in your yard. i liked the close up of the water rippling. that's one thing i left out, because the creek on our walk is more about sound and less about the view. although it is pretty its prettier to hear than see.

OK. That's it. I am packing a basket of cookies and milk and coming directly over.

No no ... no need to invite me, I've already done that myself. lol.

Seriously: BEAUTIFUL back yard. I love the pond, especially the little waterfall. VERY nicely done. And so well manicured and cared for. That's what I really noticed.

It really shows that you care for your yard.

Wait till you see mine! Aiyee aiyee aiyeee.

(p.s. I don't have sound on my computer so I couldn't hear your lovely presentation. Could you just type it up and send it on over for my enjoyment? LOL>)

Pamela,

You have a lovely backyard. Thankyou for the gracious tour. The deck looks very inviting right now.

Mmmmmm....I can almost taste rhubarb crisp, while watching the hummers and the birds in your yard.

This was a very unique way to do this challenge. You have such a SOOTHING voice! It reminds me of the guy that used to teach painting on public television that put a "happy little tree right here". And the flash of the kitty was great - she is SO pretty.

Be blessed.

Great tour Pamela.

Glad you enjoyed the walk through IKEA and I hope you don't mind this "general" comment, I'm running out of time for individual answers.

I loved hearing your voice...it is such a pretty one!
Your yard is so pretty...and Rhubarb pie?? May I come by for a slice?
Loved hearing all the birds. You have such amazing wildlife.
Love bleeding hearts, especially if they are surprise growers like yours!
The bridge and water feature are so nice.
Just a perfect spot to spend some time...I can have my bags packed in a half an hour! *smile*

And we even saw a kitty!!

Love,
Sue

Oh, I think I remember your back door view from another Fun Monday. The yard is beautiful, but I think I see enough landscaping in progress to pain both knees and back.

What a large and beautiful back yard! I'm envious.

Did you say rhubarb? If you bake that in strawberry/rhubarb pie, I'm coming over!

Oh, and did you say that a blue heron has been stalking your pond? Wow!

Oh I loved that tour! I typically leave my sound off on the computer but decided to turn it on and I loved hearing your birds and your explanations and did you know we had a Great Blue Heron come into our old pond and still fish too? Our pond looked very similar to yours. :)

I loved your tour!

Pamela Beautiful Your voice is nothing like I had thought it would be. In fact I never even thought about it before. Somewhere in the back of my mine says aching back, sore muscles, but a feeling of peace and con tentment when you lie down at night for your rest. For folks who are accustomed to it the aching back and the sore muscles may not be as keen. Bless you for sharing Rose59
