Saturday morning at breakfast - there were at least 100 Cedar Waxwings in an Ornamental Cherry Tree. They were chowing down on the fruit. However, when I grabbed my camera they flew to the top of the tree to pose.

I've seen a whole bunch of guys that look just like that around here lately, they are the same size and colour, but don't have those crown feathers.

So that's where they all are! Now I know where to look for them. :)

Beautiful shots! I love them all. If you don't mind, I would like to save the first picture and make it my wallpaper. Ha! Ha!I hope it is OK for me to do that (=

Anyway, I posted nothing special this week, but I hope you can come and see it for yourself here.
Have fun!
Great series of pictures I have never heard of waxwings - best wishes for Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday season to you.

Amazing that you got so many of these shots. They were very cooperative, huh? Usually by the time I've gotten my camera, they've flown the coop.

So, do I need to have a pond to attract them?

I guess I'll just feel lucky with my wintering hummingbirds.
