Goodbye Amy

I began reading Amy's blog many months ago. Each entry chronicled her battle with leukemia.

She lost the war on Monday.

I feel compelled to honor and recognize her well-lived life. She leaves behind her husband, a small child she longed to watch grow tall, siblings, and parents.

And, thousands of bloggers who were inspired by her constant and positive faith.

Goodbye Sweet Amy - Sleep peacefully.

That is so sad. I did not visit her blog. What a great thing to honour her, and touch other lives that did not know her and her battle.

Amen.
Death, where is your sting?
It makes me look forward to the day when life will be restored to as it was meant to be, when death will be vanquished.

Oh no...
I had visited her only a couple times, but at one time, did have her beautiful picture in my sidebar because though I didn't know her, I felt so moved by her plight.

This news makes me sad....sad for her family. But I know she is feeling very blessed right now in the warm welcoming embrace of Jesus.

I had only begun reading Amy's blog recently but had read through the entire thing. I am filled with sorrow.
My heart is with her family...my prayers as well. I keep thinking about the one picture of Gary and Amy with their little guy. It was such a sweet one...they were so full of smiles. My heart aches for her parents and siblings, for Gary but for the little boy who will be without his Mom.

Heartbreaking...

I never heard of her before but just found out about her passing about 20 minutes ago. It's just so heartbreaking. :(
