We went to a garden party

Here are some things we saw:

Yesterday was a gorgeous day. So we went to a Garden Party.

We have already been approached by the Hospice Fund Raising chairperson to consider having our back yard on the "Hospice Pond Tour" for next year.

We weren't sure what that involved, so we bought tickets and toured the parade of "ponds" in this years fund raising event.

We had the opportunity to see what strangers have done in their front and back yards; plus, the added benefit of spending the day together having fun. What better way to get some tips, or figure out what we like by seeing what others have done. These are pictures of some of our favorites.

Our landscaping in the backyard hasn't been finished - after having to have it all torn out this year. However, if it's looking good next year we will probably open our back yard to support the hospice program.

What a beautiful group of back yards, I'm sure yours will be a jewel on next year's tour. Synchronistically, we're involved in a hospice fundraising project right now, too. Such a good cause and so needed.

My goodness. My backyard is full of rotting apples which I have neglect to pick up as they have fallen from the tree.

For shame, for shame.

I see no toilets - so that was a good party.

I think Karmyn might've been making a suggestion for y'all to have quite the memorable back yard next year (lol). I bet it would be the most photographed place on the tour.

A worthy event--thanks for thinking to take pics to share with your blogmates :).

Hey, first 3 letters of my word ver: eat :) :) :). Which reminds me, I need a snack.

Wow - I'm so impressed! I love the tub. Please tell me all this stuff wasn't in the same yard;) My mom loves gardening - she'd eat up a garden party!

Someday, someday someday my pre-sod lawn will be an actual lawn and my husband will get around to putting in the drip system and finishing the retaining wall-- someday. And then, I will post pictures.
